Here we are at the Whole Foods Co op planting Cascade Hops. Hopmaster Mike Moorehead of North East brought the vines and helped the initial installation on coir twine. The hops are a nice addition to the edible landscape at Whole Foods on the walls of the new cafe addition.
This is not the first time we've planted hops on a building. Here they are on an installation we did at Carr Hall at Allegheny College in 2010. Carr Hall houses the environmental program.
The landscape was designed with input from ( no surprise here ) the students!
Being involved with different types of projects helps to keep our work interesting.
And we'll keep improving our environment for another 60 years!
