Dan graduated from Penn State University in Landscape Architecture. After working in New York, Maryland and Texas, Dan returned to Erie in 1986 to join the family business. Taking over the business in 1993, Dan is following in his father Chuck’s footsteps in offering top quality landscape services to the residents of the Erie area.
Dan is active in the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association on the Government relations committee, the president of the board of trustees of the Erie Cemetery Association and continuing as board chair of LEAF, the Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier, the non-profit that he and Kathy had founded.
Dan and Kathy and they have 5 children and 7 grandkids. Beyond work, Dan loves to play in his Celtic band, The Bangerzz (formerly Ischabaha), sail his Hobie Cat, downhill and cross-country ski, scuba dive, woodworking, gardening and spend time with his family. Currently he flies his Cessna for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Krista and I would like to pass on to your crew that we really do enjoy our front yard. We have found people stopping by to look at it as if it were a piece of art, of course we know it is. It has made a big difference in our enjoyment of our home. We will highly recommend you to all of our friends.
Sincerely,
Jim Strafford
