Dahlkemper Landscape Architects & Contractors specializes in stream and lake bank stabilization: the process of stabilizing and protecting banks against erosion. As landscape architects we are able to take a project from concept, thru design and permitting ( if necessary ), to implementation and construction as well as ongoing management. Property protection of valuable real estate and sustainability of the environment are aided thru bio engineering and other techniques. Installing stairs for lake access along the bluff of Lake Erie also helps to protect the bank from erosion. This aluminum step system has proved to be much better than wood by absorbing the 'creep' of the lake bank that would cause wooden steps to fail over a period of time.
