With the spring thaw coming after a heavy snow, concerns of potential flooding occur. One way that landscape architects help the environment are through Best Management Practices that involve storm water.
Many of these bio-engineering solutions include soils and plant materials that aid in slowing runoff and filtering the water to reduce flooding and erosion and improve water quality.
