Celebrating 60 Year: Trees as Garden Design Elements

Garden design and landscape architecture are arts that shape outdoor spaces. A key element to shaping these spaces are trees!

Trees help to provide wall enclosure as well as overhead enclosure, depending on how they are used.

This Cercidiphyllum japonica, Katsura Tree on the SW corner of 4th and Pittsburgh does a little of both. Anchoring the corner of this house it helps to shape the front yard, separating it from the side. It provides foreground and enframent of the house and a canopy for it also.

Trees are large plants, often taken for granted. They have large nutritional needs, water uptake and soil requirements. In return they provide clean oxygen for us to breath. Improving our environment.

And we have been improving your environment by planting trees for 60 years!

Testimonials

Krista and I would like to pass on to your crew that we really do enjoy our front yard. We have found people stopping by to look at it as if it were a piece of art, of course we know it is. It has made a big difference in our enjoyment of our home. We will highly recommend you to all of our friends.

Sincerely,
Jim Strafford
